জৈন্তাপুর (সিলেট) প্রতিনিধি : ৪৮ বিজিবি’র অভিযানে ২৮টি দুম্বা ও ৩৭টি রাম ছাগল আটক। বিজিবি সূত্র জানায় ১৪ এপ্রলি সোমবার সাড়ে ১২টায় গোপন সংবাদরে ভিত্তিত্বে ৪৮ বিজিবির ছাতক উপজলোর সীমান্তর্বতী সুরমা ব্রীজ সংলগ্ন এলাকা হতে সেনাবাহিনীর সহায়তায় ভারতীয় ২৮ টি দুম্বা এবং ৩৭ টি রাম ছাগল আটক করা হয়। আটককৃত দুম্বা এবং ছাগলরে আনুমানকি বাজার মূল্য-৬১ লক্ষ ২০ হাজার টাকা।
৪৮ বিজিবির অধনিায়ক বলনে, আসন্ন কোরবানি ঈদকে র্টাগেট করে চোরাকারবারীরা সীমান্ত এলাকায় সক্রিয় হয়ে উঠেছে। সীমান্তের চোরাই পথে এসকল পশু ভারত হতে পাচাররে মাধ্যমে বাংলাদেশে নিয়ে আসছে। বিজিবির র্উধ্বতন সদর দপ্তররে নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী সীমান্তে নিরাপত্তা রক্ষা ও চোরাচালান প্রতিরোধে বিজিবি সর্বদা তৎপর রয়েছে। অভিযানের অংশ হিসাবে সীমান্তর্বতী এলাকার অভযিান পরচিালনা করে ২৮টি দুম্বা ও ৩৭ টি ছাগল জব্দ করা হয়।
